This is a perfect example showing why Europe needed Performance Standards for it's ambulances. As late as 2004 European ambulance manufacturers were still permitted to cobble together any kind of crap for their ambulance bodies without any obligation to meet integral performance and safety standards. Note the chassis is intact whereas the ambulance body has shattered into pieces! Slim chance of survival for the patients and Medic in the patient compartment. How sad - and it's totally avoidable.
