Oval Side Glass
J.G. Humphrey & Son undertakers in Griswold, Manitoba purchased this hearse second hand in 1904 and used it until 1913.
The hearse was then purchased by another undertaker for $250 and was last used in 1942. "This undertaker recalls trips to the Roden district cemetery which is a 30 mile round trip...coldest winter days...roads built up high with snow...has to get off and hold sides of hearse to prevent overturning".
This hearse is now at the Western Development Museum in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Photo from WDM.
