Demo at Morden, Manitoba
Each summer we would visit all ambulances services in the 3 prairie provinces with a demonstrator ambulance. The demonstrator was usually a top-of-the-line unit, often equipped with attention-grabbing design and equipment. Our 1980 demonstrator featured a three-tone white, orange and yellow paint design and was equipped with red and blue lightbar lenses (Saskatchewan and Manitoba ambulances were not permitted to run with blue lights).
In this photo the rear door is open and the cot has been removed; the hood has been opened for inspection; and Ken Sawatsky is sitting in the driver's seat and no doubt explaining some new feature to two interested men at the Morden, Manitoba Hospital.
