Ontario Ministry of Health Prototype
The Ontario Ministry of Health had been purchasing hundreds of ambulances each year from ambulance manufacturing companies located in Ontario. We didn't even try bidding on their large volume tenders because they were giving the Ontario based ambulance manufacturers a 10% preferrential treatment on price. In 1986 the Ontario Government removed the preferrential treatment and suddenly we were on a level playing field.
We built this prototype to show the Ontario MOH we could build to their specifications and could meet their quality and performance standards.
