Ordinance Detection Vehicle

In 1986 the Department of National Defence awarded us a contract to manufacture an Ordinance Detection Vehicle for use at the military training base at Suffield. The primary method of detecting unexploded ordinance is to drive over the field with a huge caterpillar and roller, the pressure of which detonates the ordinance. But for ordinance which is buried deeper in the ground and which has not detonated, this 4X4 truck equipped with electronic detection equipment drives over the field and detects the buried ordinance, for which a charge can then be set.
