Pinawa Hospital
Pinawa had an unusual ambulance arrangement. Every morning at 7:30 the ambulance would be driven out to the Atomic Energy Research Facility some fifteen or twenty miles distance from town for the day shift. The Town of Pinawa was a company town and practically everyone worked at the research facility so it made sense to have the ambulance follow the workers who also were the volunteer EMTs. Rick Reddekopp (centre) presents the ambulance to Peter and Shirley Cliche.
