Astorian Olds Seville
Terry Lange wrote about this car:
"Here's another Winnipeg car that went through some interesting name and color combination changes over the years. Originally it was purchased new by Veterans-Prince to compete with Metro Ambulance Service for the first call contracts for the city police and various funeral homes. Metro had the corner on this market for years. When the anticipated business didn't materialize, it was converted to a full time ambulance. Back in those days when you were young and appreciated 'raw power', you couldn't beat this Olds for get up and go. It also had a Federal 'Q' behind the grille to keep the traffic moving nicely. My brother and I both had the enjoyment of driving this car on many occasions."
The fact it originally was a hearse explains the missing side windows.
This car at various times was painted white with orange (Crestview), white with green name (Irish), two tone grey (St James), and red over white (Veterans-Prince). All names represent the Veterans-Prince company.
