This ambulance body was built by Laurie Carriage Works in Winnipeg.

Terry Lange wrote: "John Wylie was way ahead of his time by custom ordering a modular type ambulance long before the concept had even been heard of in Winnipeg, and most of Canada. John took a lot of kidding on this truck. It wasn't unusual for one of his competitors to come up to the driver's window at a hospital and try to order an ice cream bar. While John was committed to this concept right to the end, his next two purchases were Superior Pontiacs, so I thnk that choice speaks for itself."
