First Experimental Aerodynamic Modular
This was the first experimental modular ambulance we built using the findings of Roy Eichendorf's wind tunnel studies. The modular body has large radii corners, recessed lighting, ground effects, mirror fairings and a front air dam. These aerodynamic features significantly reduced wind drag which resulted in reduced fuel consumption, a quieter interior, and less cross-wind effect when passing on-coming vehicles.
We originally used the name AIRMAX for this new model, later the name was changed to NEW ERA.
This was the first of three decal designs this unit would receive. This demonstrator ambulance was later purchased by Parkland Ambulance in Prince Albert.
