Town of Coaldale
Andy Van Rijn wrote "This is a photo of our first ambulance, a 1952 Dodge Limo Ambulance that the town bought in 1959 and parked in front of the town office for three days without plates while they tried to figure out who would run it. They finally decided to give it to the fire dept to run.
It featured a flat head 6, rear seat left in place for the attendant, suicide door on the passenger side to load stretcher. The patient's feet were right beside the driver so it worked out better if the patient wasn't violent.
I see some lights mounted on the front bumper, but with a flat had 6 I don't think red lights would of been an issue."
