Ponoka AB Hospital
The Alberta Provincial Government operated a mental hospital (commonly referred to as the Ponoka Puzzle Works) at Ponoka AB. The hospital's purchasing agent used specifications from our competitor, Ambucraft in Innisfail, to tender for a new ambulance. We bid low because we were trying to become more established in Alberta and also because Ponoka was just down the road from Innisfail and we knew that our winning the tender would be an additional irritant to Ambucraft. Well, we won the tender and so we had to build an ambulance 'Ambucraft style'.
