China Project
In 1998 we were asked to participate in a project building 3 prototype ambulances for the Chinese Red Cross. Two of the vehicles were to serve the function of conventional ambulances, while the third was equipped with diagnostic equipment and was to function as a mobile medical clinic for regions in China that have no medical facilities.
Project leader Geoff Booth, together with other production staff from Crestline, built the 3 vehicles on Chinese van chassis, in an ex-military manufacturing plant in China.
